You should be sure to know all about seashells before buying them, or you are likely to be taken advantage of because of your ignorance of the subject. I have spent hours and hours combing the beach and, take it from me, people pay ridiculous amounts of money for absolute junk all of the time. Why, I can tell you, for example, that those same sand dollars that I find in droves on the sea shores of the San Francisco bay area, people are buying for 5 or 10 dollars and up. I mean, perhaps it’s worth a few bucks to find them, clean them up, and make them convenient by selling them at the store, but if you know anything about seashells or other marine products, you will make wise purchases, unless you live so far away that there is no alternative but to buy them for exorbitant rates. How are you sleeping at night? This question is as popular as it was back in the 12th century. Okay, so I just totally made that up, but I’m probably not far off. Just think of how they must have slept back in that time. What were they dealing with; straw mattresses or something? Anyway, my point is that this is still a big issue in the 21st century. Despite all of our technology, and amazing advancements toward mattress construction, folks still can’t sleep well. A large number of them toss and turn all night long. There are a few factors at play here. Now, granted that you don’t have insomnia, I’m thinking it mainly has to do with your mattress, pillow and sheets? Are you living it up on a king size 3000 dollar mattress, a contemporary memory foam pillow and 800 thread count sheets. If not, then maybe you should be. It’s time to rest clear through the night. Several months ago, I opened up my mailbox and sighed. There in my hand was an invitation to my best friend’s parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party. I have known my best friend and her family for almost 30 years, so I am very close to all of them. There is no way I would miss such an important occasion, but yet, the idea of shopping for a 50th anniversary gift didn’t thrill me. I’m not a fan of shopping for presents like that. This is a very special milestone for them, I knew that I couldn’t just get them a generic present. I gave my RSVP with absolutely not a clue what would be an appropriate 50th anniversary gift for such a wonderful couple. (more…)

My 42-inch plasma TV is practically the best that money can buy. I use my 42-inch plasma TV to watch everything, including football games, live coverage on CNN, the 6 o’clock news, and anything else that you can think of. One of the best parts of having a 42-inch plasma TV is the realism of watching it – it’s like you’re actually there in the heat, making tackles and calling plays, or maybe involved in a steamy romance on a soap opera, or launching cruise missiles at the enemies of freedom all around the world. There are good and bad bacteria as far as our health goes. With 60 to 70 million Americans suffering from various digestive diseases, that means we need to pay attention to those little critters working ’round the clock inside of our bodies. Acidophilus, a common organism in yogurt and cultured milk products such as kefir, is said to foster a healthy balance of bacteria in the stomach. It’s one of the “good” or “friendly” ones, out of about 400 types of bacteria that live in our intestinal tract and, for women, in the vagina as well. It’s helpful because it aids manufacturing of B vitamins and production of lactase and other antibacterial agents. (more…)

An Acer laptop computer can revolutionize your business or professional life. I am a writer, and largely self employed, so I know. For me, I hate staying at home to work amid all of the distractions of my house – there are just too many temptations to fall victim to in the home. But if I’d go out to work at a coffee shop, my productivity would in many ways be better, but at the expense of having to do everything in pen. This means that after I’d go to the coffee shop, I’d have to go back home again and rewrite everything typed up on my computer. (more…)

Accutane is the brand name for a drug called isotretinoin. It isn’t for wimps. It’s controversial. It’s effective for some in the treatment of acne, but you pretty much have to be desperate to try it. There can be side effects. Serious side effects. If you’re a parent, and your child’s dermatologist is telling you that accutane is the next step in a series of treatments that haven’t worked, think very carefully before you try it, and consider alternative approaches offered by non-traditional practitioners such as naturopaths. They can offer a regimen of high doses of vitamins, herbs, gentle topical treatments and changes in diets that can eliminate acne for some without harmful side effects. It’s not very expensive to try, and certainly worth a try if it means sparing your child the risks associated with accutane. (more…)

Accounting business software is important for the running of your business, whether it is a small, medium, or large business or a gigantic global mega corporation. At any stage of business above a lemonade stand, keeping flawless records is indispensable. There are so many things to keep track of, so your software must be either extremely flexible, or geared specifically to your own business and its needs. There are invoices, shipment records, employment records and employee files, payment invoices, tax forms and federal work safety forms, and many more things which an accounting business software program could, ideally, keep track of, although in practice, not all of this can be kept track of by one program.
