Your relationship with that special someone is important, right? So you already know how much of a big deal it’s going to be for other couples when they tie the knot. This is one of the largest and greatest decisions two people can ever make. It’s imperative to make it as special as possible. For many people the reality of life is that they need canes and walking sticks to remain mobile. This could be the result of an injury or because they are maturing. Regardless, the transition from moving freely on your own two legs to having to rely on canes and walking sticks can be a difficult one. My late grandfather always said that the day mankind would begin selling the air we breathed, it would be doomsday. Well, at that time, we all laughed his comment off as the ramblings of an old man, but something I saw the other day reminded me of him. There is nothing more relaxing than a long soak in the bathtub, when filled with the luxuriant foam of bubble bath. Add some candlelight and soft music and the problems of the day just seem to fade away. It comes in different forms and makes a great gift. They feel good, smell good and keep the temperature of the water constant. (more…)

What kind of job do you have? Are you treading through dirt and mud while busting up concrete and hammering nails, or are you in an office cubicle somewhere? These are very different types of jobs. I’m sure you’re familiar with the terms white collar and blue collar. In most cases the cubicle jobs are consider to be white collar positions. Of course this depends on exactly how hard you’re slaving away at that keyboard. Okay, that was a bad joke. Anyway, one thing you certainly need if you are tackling that cubicle career on a daily basis is a quality chair. How is your chair treating you these days? Is your back and rear end killing you or did you take the smart route and look into ergonomic office chairs to begin with? (more…)

A search for Kia recalls has become as interesting as those jokes and movies featuring the less mainstream vehicles. There is a common tendency to poke fun at such makes as the Ford Pinto, the Yugo, and the make made famous by Mike Myers and Dana Garvey in Wayne’s World—the AMC Pacer (which, by the way, is on sale for 15 grand). For some reason, I was thinking a search for Kia recalls would result in material for the aforementioned jokesters…but I was wrong. Though I don’t have anything on my body pierced other than my ears, I know a lot of people that do, and you probably do too. Body jewelry looks really good on the right people, and there are others who probably should have passed. No matter what though, there will always be someone who loves the look of nose or belly button rings, and you may not be able to talk them out of it no matter what you say. (more…)

Whatever happened to the days when kids were actually kids, and didn’t have to start worrying about things like homework until about third grade? The other day, my sister called me and said that her daughter had homework. I was flabbergasted. She’s in kindergarten! Kindergarten homework? What on earth was going on? I have given up on movie rentals. I don’t think in my case they really qualify as movie rentals anyway.
