There are many forms of therapy floating around today. Among my personal favorites is aromatherapy. This is not considered a cure for any serious health or emotional problems but it does serve as a great way to unwind after a long day. History And Entertainment Can Be Found In African American Plays

There are a large number of playwrights from the African American community and there is a strong tradition of African American plays that deal with racial issues and the struggle for equal rights. Some of the producers have needed to campaign to get them performed but there was an audience out there, eager to see drama about their own everyday lives and themes that they could personally identify with. Learning And Living African American History

Mine is the first generation of African Americans who do not know their history. Don’t get me wrong. We still recognize the big names. We know Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Jesse Jackson and the rest. But the sense of struggle – the sense of the importance of studying African American history and learning from the past how to make a better future – is missing from many of my fellow African Americans.
