A few course golf rules specifically apply to the use of a golf cart. If you chose to rent a golf cart or bring one you own to the course for your round of golf, be sure to pay heed to use restrictions. For example, many golf courses will require that you follow the “90 degree rule.” This means that when leaving the cart path to travel to your golf ball, you must take 90 degree turns to reach your ball in a straight line. This is an important course golf rule to heed so that fairway grasses don’t become damaged. You should also always keep your golf cart away from the putting green and tee boxes.
